This was another of the beers in my mixed case from @crownbrewerstu on twitter. I remember reading the description for this ale as I was putting it onto a page of it’s own on their website, It read:
This traditional golden IPA (7% ABV) is full flavoured packed with bitterness from the 5kg of Bramlin Cross Hops. The amorma is reminicent of fruit wine with blueberries.

My first impressions of the beer were just that, fruit and wine on the nose, with a little bit of yeast and a hint of sweetness, It poured quite hazy as it’s bottle conditioned and i just poured it straight, no messing on trying to pour it carefully, if you don’t like hazy beer then just take care pouring it.
The head really lasted right down the head and was nice and foamy, It tasted quite bitter, with a grapefruit zing, a little bit of malt and some sugary sweetness, i had a lovely lasting aftertaste of bitter hops and the grapefruit, i even gave our lass some and she thought it was pretty tasty so it can’t be too bitter.
At 7% you could get your self into a bittle of a state with this as its just about as drinkable as beers come, I teamed it up with good quality bangers and mash with ale gravy and it worked a treat.
If you like your IPA’s hoppy and full of flavour then this is worth giving a try, it’s not quite as smooth as a flying dog classic pale ale but it has something there that makes it really stand out.
