Whitby Beer Festival Thurs 11th – Sun 14th Nov 2010

I had the following info through about Whitby Beer Festival, It’s a cracking time of year to visit Whitby if you’re not local and with over 100 beers on there’s bound to be something worth trying.

Thursday 11th – Sunday 14th November 2010

Bar open 11am-11pm each day

At The Whitby Mission & Seafarers Centre

5p will be donated to the RNLI for every token sold

The beers and ciders are as follows:

Biddenden Vineyard

Bushells Cider 6.0%, Strong Kentish Medium 8.0%, Strong Kentish Dry 8.0%.

Brentwood Brewery

IPA 3.7%, Maple Mild 3.7%, Spooky Moon 3.8%, Best 4.2%, Gold 4.3%, Hope and Glory
4.5%, Lumberjack 5.2%, Chockwork Orange 6.5%.

Conwy Brewery:-

Clogwyn Gold 3.6%, Welsh Pride 4.0%, Celebration 4.2%, Rampart 4.5%,
Honey Fayre 4.5%.

Dark Tribe Brewery:-

Albacore 4.0%, Sternwheeler 4.2%, Intelligent Whale 4.3%, Old Gaffer 4.5%, Galleon
4.7%, Dark Destroyer 9.7%.
When the festival is fully up and running Dave “Dixie” Dean of The Dark Tribe
Brewery will also be brewing a commemorative ale that will only be made available to
the RNLI Festival Tour. The name or ABV have yet to be decided but “Lifeboat Lager”
is a distinct possibility.

Hoskin Bros Ales:-

Murfs Ales:-

Pot of Gold 4.3%, Lights Out 4.5%, Red Diesel 5.0%.

Nelson Brewery:-

Pieces of Eight 3.8%, Spinnaker 4.0%, Jack the Knife 4.1%, Spanker 4.2%, Pressgang
4.3%, Powder Monkey 4.4%, Friggin’ in the Riggin’ 4.7%.

Newby Wyke Brewery:-

Sidewinder 3.8%, Kingston Topaz 4.2%, Bear Island 4.6%, Marie Celeste 4.6%, White
Squall 4.8%, HMS Warrior 5.0%, 2nd Refit 5.2%.
When the tour is fully up and running Rob March of The Newby Wyke Brewery will also
be brewing two commemorative ales that will only be made available to the RNLI
Festival Tour. The ABV’s have not been decided yet but one will be called
“Leicester Challenge 2” after the current lifeboat based at Redcar and the other
will be called “Zetland” after the worlds oldest surviving lifeboat also based at
Redcar.
